Behavioral Health

Baptist Carroll County Behavioral Health is an outpatient therapeutic program for adults, 18 years old and older, and seniors who need behavioral health intervention and support. Our behavioral health professionals focus on evidence-based practices to help patients reach the most favorable treatment outcomes possible.

Conditions we treat

Our team includes a doctoral prepared board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, a board-certified psychiatrist and licensed masters-level social workers.

We treat a wide range of behavioral conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, dementia related to Alzheimer’s disease and/or other conditions, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self-harm ideation, schizophrenia and other psychotic conditions.

Full psychiatric evaluations

Our team conducts an in-depth evaluation outlining current and historic symptoms, social and family history, co-occurring medical conditions, previous treatments, past medications, and developmental stages.

Our providers listen to each patient's needs and provide help to increase awareness and education.  We provide education and materials pertaining to diagnoses, medication, target symptoms, risks/benefits, course of treatment, and mutually expected outcomes.

Comprehensive treatment plans

A comprehensive treatment addresses mutually established treatment goals, target symptoms, and expected outcomes. The treatment plan encompasses all aspects of care including family participation, psychotropic medications, collaboration with primary care providers, pertinent diagnostic studies for diagnoses and monitoring as well as assessment tools to measure the severity of symptoms and quantify outcomes.
