Union City, Tenn., – Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City and Baptist Medical Group (Baptist Memorial Health Care’s multispecialty physician network) broke ground on Baptist Health Center, a new medical office building on the hospital campus, on Friday.

Baptist Medical Group - The Woman’s Health Center Union City will relocate to the new facility. The medical building will measure 24,000 square feet and have space for up to three more tenants. Construction began in September 2021, and the building is projected to open in fall 2022. The project will cost an estimated $10 million.

“We are very excited to offer the people of Union City convenient access to important medical services,” said Skipper Bondurant, administrator and CEO of Baptist Union City. “This facility will house local physician practices on our hospital campus, allowing us to treat patients from one location. The expansion will also offer a new four-bed triage bay for assessment and treatment of patients.

Local contractors and sub-contractors on the medical office building project include developer Big River Designs, architect A2H and general contractor Allen Searcy Builder-Contractor Inc.
