UNION CITY, Tenn. –Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City celebrated the opening of its new $10 million physician office building in Union City, Tennessee.

The first floor of the 24,000-square-foot two-story development will be home to the newly named Baptist Medical Group-Women’s Health Center of Union City. The clinic has 18 exam rooms, two procedure rooms, two ultrasound suites, a lab and a large conference room.

“We have been anticipating the opening of the new Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City Physician Office Building,” said Skipper Bondurant, CEO and administrator of Baptist Union City. “It’s an important investment in our community and complements our recent renovation and expansion of the obstetrics unit in our hospital. This new facility cements our efforts to become the premier provider of women’s health services in the area.”

In November 2021, Baptist spent $1.5 million on a new Siemens MRI machine and $2.5 million to renovate and expand the hospital’s obstetrics and women’s health services, which includes a new 3D mammography unit.

The new physician office building will open on Feb. 13. Construction began on the facility in October 2021. Local contractors and sub-contractors who worked on the project include developer Big River Designs, architect A2H and general contractor Allen Searcy Builder-Contractor Inc.
