A cardiologist in Baptist’s transplant program listens to a patient’s heartbeat

Since doctors performed the first heart transplant in the area in 1985, Baptist has maintained its role as a leader in providing innovative transplant surgery and care for patients throughout Memphis and the Mid-South. Our team of experienced physicians, nurses, specialists and therapists help you before, during and after your heart transplant procedure. From pre-surgery preparation and organ procurement, to vigilant post-transplant care and rehabilitation, our transplant services help patients regain quality, and longevity, of life.
