sent her running into a terrorist attack to help victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

A leader in education and research, Dr. Stavas serves as the Program Director for Child Protection Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego. Her focus and research in preventing childhood violence has earned her many awards and recognition in the medical community and news media.
